Facebook, LinkedIN & Beyond

…or how the new media changed how sales people do business.
That was the title of the presentation we gave at Castle Vaalsbroek (The Netherlands) for a long-time client of ours: SD Worx. Their 150-man large sales team was on a three-day break-out with both fun (I heard DJ Buscemi was giving DJ lessons – how cool is that) and work-related workshops (like ours – it was fun as well of course ;)).
Our presentation was all about the new media. We explained how many of their customers are connected with each other on social networks like Facebook, LinkedIN, MySpace and how they talk about companies, brands, products and people in the open on Twitter, in their Facebook statuses and so on. We wanted to point out the importance of being connected with their clients and the necessity of listening to what people say about you.
We focused on LinkedIN strongly, giving a very hands-on session with tips on how to become an even better sales manager. The opportunities that a business social networking site like LinkedIN offers is incredible. Prospects are waiting for you to be contacted, sales leads are ready to be converted.
